Owner of Merlotte's, the bar Sookie works at. He is a shifter who can change into any animal though he often takes the shape of a collie (named Dean) and sleeps on Sookie's rug.

Described as: Small and wiry blonde (near red-gold), eyes blue like Paul Newmans and usually a little sunburned. He has alot of upper body strength and is a caring friend and boss to Sookie.

Alcide Herveaux

Sookie meets Alcide when Eric has him come take her to Jackson to try to find Bill. They find a mutual attraction to each other. He works for his family's surveying company.

Described as: Huge, green eyes, tousled curly black hair. Very handsome.

Described as: Upside of 40, trim beard salted with gray, and his hair is cut close to his head. He was a small man, 5'7" or so with lithe build and muscular arms. Eyes were a strange golden-green.
